Center to Advance Palliative Care (CAPC) will host a webinar July 31 on, “How Palliative Care Can Support Caregivers in Policy and Practice.”

State policymakers often neglect the link between caregiver support and palliative care access. Caregivers face isolation, lack information, and need better training. Palliative care can help, but more support is necessary for wider access.

In this webinar, the panel will explore the most pressing needs of caregivers; how palliative care can be deployed to meet these needs; and current policy initiatives in both areas. Speakers include:

  • Scott Bane, JD, MPA, Senior Program Officer, JAHF
  • Jonathan Cottor, MBA, MPH, Chief Executive Officer, Founder, National Center for Pediatric Palliative Care Homes
  • Salom Teshale, PhD, Senior Policy Associate, The National Academy for State Health Policy
  • Stacie Sinclair, MPP, Associate Director, Policy and Care Transformation, CAPC

Combining the evidence base with subject matter experts, the webinar aims to empower state policymakers and champions looking to alleviate caregiver burden through palliative care strategies.
