This session is only available to South Dakota hospitals with 50 beds or less.

Overview:

Presented by SDAHO in collaboration with the South Dakota Office of Rural Health, South Dakota Healthcare Finance Management Association (SDHFMA) and Eide Bailly, this webinar with discuss the proposed and finalized conditions of participation and financial considerations for conversion to the Rural Emergency Hospital reimbursement model. In addition, we will explore the status of licensing, Medicaid reimbursement, commercial payer payments, etc. that are more state specific in nature. The session will include a pre and post attendance questionnaire to measure knowledge growth. Participants will be allowed to ask questions of the presenter.

Jeremy Behrens, CPA, Eide Bailly

Since 2002, Jeremy has been providing attestation and consulting services to healthcare clients in Nebraska and Iowa. He is an experienced preparer of Medicare and Medicaid cost reports for critical access hospitals, prospective payment hospitals, federally qualified health centers, senior living facilities and behavioral health facilities. He is actively engaged in monitoring new reimbursement models for healthcare providers.

Ralph J. Llewellyn, CPA, CHFP, Eide Bailly

Ralph Llewellyn has over 30 years of experience in healthcare finance, leadership, reimbursement and operations. He began his healthcare career as a hospital CFO for a 49-bed hospital with a 116-bed nursing home. Ralph has been with Eide Bailly for more than 25 years and is currently the Partner-in-Charge of Critical Access Hospitals and Healthcare Consulting. He assists providers in strategic planning development, operations leadership, cost report reimbursement, billing compliance, and board education.
