Since becoming a federal holiday in 1894, Labor Day pays tribute to the contributions and achievements of American workers. Labor Day also symbolizes the end of summer for many Americans, and in our area it is a time to prepare for the return to school and complete the harvest.

As our nation prepares to celebrate Labor Day and the many benefits of an engaged and productive workforce, the South Dakota Association of Healthcare Organizations recognizes the dedicated health care professionals throughout the state, especially those who will be serving others over the extended holiday weekend.

Caring for others is a calling and a true “labor” of love! We extend a sincere and heartfelt message of appreciation to all who share of their talents and gifts in the service of those in need.

May you have a relaxing and enjoyable Labor Day!
