The Payment Methodologies for Medicaid Providers Interim Study reconvened for its third meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 27.
The committee began with discussion on the recommendations from the invited speaker of the National Conference of State Legislatures (NCLS), Allan Bergaman from High Impact Mission-based Consulting and Training. (See Committee Recommendations from the August 17-18 meeting)
The committee reviewed a Provider Reimbursement Cost Report document to pay providers 100% of methodology rates for FY18. (See Provider Reimbursement)
In addition, the committee received an update from the Department of Social Services and the Department of Human Services on Home and Community Services- Waiver Programs. (See SD DSS and SD DHS slide decks)
The Legislative Research Council (LRC) provided a FY17 General Fund Revenue Update (See General Fund Report) and a report on Health Care Provider Taxes. (See Medical Provider Taxes)
The next meeting of the Payment Methodologies for Medicaid Providers is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 25 to discuss recommendations for possible legislation.
