The Legislative Summer Study Committee reviewing Medicaid payment methodologies is asking that the South Dakota Department of Social Services (SD DSS) analyze changes to the salary level threshold under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
SD DSS is surveying nursing home administrators to gauge the impact of the federal mandate, and the department has requested SDAHO’s assistance in distribution of the survey to our nursing home members. The legislative committee will use the survey results in determining a possible recommendation to the Joint Committee on Appropriations for an increase in funding.
The survey is broken into three sheets: Overview Page (Informational), Survey-Individual Facility and Options for Compliance (Informational).
Providers are asked to complete the Survey-Individual Facility by Oct. 19 and send it back to gilbert.johnson@sdaho.org. This will allow SDAHO sufficient time to aggregate and populate prior to the legislative committee’s next meeting on Oct. 25. It may be beneficial to touch base with your human resources contact for completion of the information.
