The South Dakota Association of Healthcare Organizations (SDAHO) is excited to share that after significant research and development, we have launched our redesigned website. The focus of the new site is on improving interaction and engagement through timely access to information, news and special features, while increasing the overall experience and value. Changes were made in response to feedback received during the most recent member engagement survey, which identified improvement opportunities.
The new site provides a user-friendly format, allowing visitors to easily navigate the site and browse for news and important information and historical data. Also, it makes it easy for search engines to read and index specific content through keywords and tags to assist in optimizing when “searching” on the site.
The site provides the ability for customized news feeds and e-mail subscriptions to provide members with real-time notification of news updates. The site is now mobile responsive for smart phones, tablets and other portable devices, and we will have the ability to add videos and other multimedia.
In addition, the site is tied in to our Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn accounts, and content will be shared on social media. This feature allows members to share a story from the website with a single click.
The site will be continually updated, including the latest state and federal public policy and advocacy news, articles, events and announcements. Look for enhancements in the near future including greater accessibility to the South Dakota State Legislature activity during the annual session and an online member directory and handbook.
We will be monitoring statistics detailing the use of the website going forward and will also ask for your feedback in the next member engagement survey. In the meantime, please share any questions, comments and feedback with Dirk Lammers, manager, communications and public relations, at dirk.lammers@sdaho.org.
