The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is soliciting proposals from contractors in North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, Illinois and Nebraska to provide community nursing home services.
The VA expects to issue an open and continuous solicitation for this requirement around mid-February, and proposals will be accepted for about a one-year period commencing with the issuance date of the solicitation until Sept. 30.
The solicitation, which is being be issued for full and open competition, is for Nursing Care Facilities (NAICS Code is 623110) with a Small Business Size Standard of $27.5 million.
Multiple and single awards are anticipated and will be made on an as needed basis. Placements will be made in contract nursing home facilities based on availability of facilities and the desires of the veterans and their respective families.
The VA says it will only consider proposals from offerors who are licensed by their respective states and who are Medicare/Medicaid qualified.
