Office of Rural Health seeking feedback on proposed rules

The Office of Rural Health/EMS Program is seeking feedback on the proposed rules package following successful passage of Senate bill 48 which allows emergency medical responders (EMR) as an official certification in South Dakota. The purpose of this rule package is focused on the EMR certification level and general cleanup. Further administrative rule changes may occur throughout 2017. All proposed additions to the administrative rules are underlined, and all deletions are struck through.

Please review the attached rules and provide written comment to the following email EMS@state.sd.us. The comment period will end the close of business on Monday, May 1, 2017.
