Huron Regional Medical Center partners with Southeast Tech to fill RN shortage

To address a looming nursing shortage, Huron Regional Medical Center (HRMC) has partnered with Southeast Tech to offer a two-year satellite RN program in Huron. The program is slated to begin fall of 2018, however LPNs can get a jump start on required coursework by starting in January 2018.

In addition to starting the satellite program in Huron, the HRMC Foundation is working with community partners in creating scholarships to remove any financial barriers for prospective students. Scholarships will be awarded with the commitment of working at the funding facility. The program will be similar to the Build Dakota Scholarship Fund program.

For more information about the RN satellite program call Southeast Tech at 367-6114. For details about scholarship opportunities contact the HRMC Foundation at 353-6315 or email info@huronregional.org.
