AHA introduces letter to improve IV saline shortage

As a part of the ongoing efforts to address the IV saline shortage, the American Hospital Association (AHA) has developed a  “Dear Colleague” letter.

The letter is being circulated in the House and Senate asking the Food & Drug Administration (FDA) to increase their work to improve the current IV saline shortage that health care facilities are experiencing.

The bipartisan letter addressed to FDA Commissioner Scott Gottlieb requests that specific information on long-term solutions be developed and shared.

Please contact Sen. Thune, Sen. Rounds and Rep. Noem and ask them to sign on to the letter.
