Representatives from the South Dakota Association of Healthcare Organizations (SDAHO) will be traveling to Washington, D.C. in early May to advocate for a myriad of important policy and regulatory health care issues.

The group will attend the annual American Hospital Association (AHA) membership meeting that begins May 6, which will include briefings, discussion and presentations on affordability, Medicaid innovations, rural issues, post-acute care and other federal policy issues. The group will participate in congressional visits with the South Dakota delegation to share insights on issues impacting health care providers.

The Council on Public Policy recently approved the annual Federal Issues Brief which will be utilized to outline acute and post-acute care priorities.
