LeadingAge and Volunteers of America have sent a joint alert to their memberships on H.R. 5771, the Charitable Giving Tax Deduction Act. This legislation would boost tax incentives for charitable donations by allowing all taxpayers a deduction for their contributions whether or not they itemize on their tax returns.
Charitable donations are the lifeblood of organizations that help older adults and others every day. Supporters are encouraged to send a message to House members and urge them to cosponsor this legislation.
