Hearing scheduled to consider new insurance rules

The South Dakota Department of Labor and Regulation, Division of Insurance will hold a public hearing on Aug. 29 at 10 a.m. (CDT) to consider the adoption and amendment of proposed rules to update certain references, terms, rating standards for health issuers and standards for the sale of individual health insurance. The public hearing notice summary includes more detail.

The Division of Insurance will consider all written and oral comments it receives on the proposed rules. The comment period will remain open for 10 days following the public hearing and will close on Sept. 8.
