The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services has scheduled a listening session on three provisions included in the proposed Physician Fee Schedule rule change, which would increase the amount of time doctors and other clinicians spend with their patients by reducing the burden of Medicare paperwork. The listening session will address questions and help participants formulate written formal comments in response to the proposed rule.
The listening session will be on Aug. 22 from 12:30-2pm CT. The three areas that will be discussed are:
- Streamlining evaluation and management (E/M) payment and reducing clinician burden;
- Advancing virtual care; and
- Continuing to improve the Quality Payment Program to reduce clinician burden, focus on outcomes and promote interoperability.
Click here to register for the event. See the proposed rule for information on submitting comments by Sept. 10.
