The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) will discuss highlights of the outpatient prospective payment system (OPPS) and ambulatory surgical center (ASC) payment system final rule, as well as hospitals posting charges to the internet, as part of an open door forum scheduled for Nov. 13 from 1 – 2 p.m. CST. Â The proposed agenda for the forum includes:
- Announcements and Updates: CY 2019 Hospital Outpatient Prospective System/Ambulatory Surgical Center Payment System Final Rule – Highlights.
- Requirement for Hospitals to Make Public a List of Their Standard Charges via the Internet.
- IRF National Provider Call Announcement.
- Activation of Systematic Validation Edits for OPPS Providers With Multiple Service Locations.
