SD Opioid Abuse Advisory Committee meets

The South Dakota Opioid Abuse Advisory Committee met Dec. 5. Several opioid grant funding updates were provided, including grants which the Department of Health and Department of Social Services have received. Several other groups from across the state have also received grants related to the opioid abuse crisis including Avera Health, Great Plains Tribal Chairmen’s Health Board (GPTCHB), South Dakota State University (SDSU) and SDSU Extension offices and the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA).
