With the November 3 General Election just around the corner, the South Dakota Association of Healthcare Organizations (SDAHO) reminds members of the importance of being informed and engaged in the election process.
Decisions made by elected officials and voters can have a lasting impact on health care across South Dakota, from funding and workforce challenges to access to care and the future of rural health care.
Before Election Day, take time to:
- Learn about the candidates and their positions on issues important to healthcare.
- Review statewide ballot questions and understand what a Yes or No vote means.
- Visit the South Dakota Secretary of State’s website to review election information, sample ballots and the 2026 Ballot Question Pamphlet.
Advocacy is central to SDAHO’s mission, and staying informed is an important part of strengthening health care’s voice across South Dakota.
