What is COARE?

​COARE stands for Community Opioid Abuse Response Effort. The aim of COARE is to identify applicable resources in relation to opioid prevention/treatment/recovery in communities and to facilitate increased collaboration within the community.​ COARE has now expanded into Watertown, Aberdeen, Mitchell, Spearfish, Huron, and Pierre. COARE was featured​ on a Podcast, titled SDAHO’s Community Opioid Abuse Response Effort. The Podcast hosted by Iowa Healthcare Collaborative (IHC) call Navigating WITHIIN which is a Podcast used to deliver support resources, education and updates to Compass HIIN participants in a convenient and easy to access manner.​
