The 95th Legislative Session kicked off last week.
The bills are beginning to be circulate and committees are getting organized. The South Dakota Association of Healthcare Organizations (SDAHO) has started the bill tracker summary and updated the state advocacy webpage with useful information.
The Joint Appropriations Committee has two of the biggest agencies that work with members up for hearings in week 2. The Department of Social Services (DSS) will have their hearing on Tuesday January 21, 2020 from 8am – 12pm. The Department of Human Services (DHS) has been scheduled for Wednesday January 22nd from 9am – 12pm.
