Medicaid Services Rate Increase Effective July 1

The General Appropriations Act provides a rate increase for most Medicaid services. Rate increases for Medicaid providers are effective July 1, 2020 for services provided in FY 2021.

Services receiving a 2.0 percent inflationary increase including the following:

ā€¢ Instate DRG Inpatient Hospital Services
ā€¢ Instate DRG Exempt Inpatient Hospital Units
ā€¢ Instate APC Outpatient Hospital Services
ā€¢ Physician Services
ā€¢ Dental Services including Orthodontic Services and Dentures
ā€¢ Optometric Services
ā€¢ Chiropractic Services
ā€¢ Nutritionists and Dietician Services
ā€¢ Durable Medical Equipment (Not including items subject to Section 1903(i)(27)) of the Social Security Act)
ā€¢ Clinic Services
ā€¢ Physical Therapy
ā€¢ Occupational Therapy
ā€¢ Speech, Hearing, or Language Disorder Services
ā€¢ Prosthetic Devices
ā€¢ Eyeglasses
ā€¢ Diabetes Self-Management Training
ā€¢ Nurse Midwife Services
ā€¢ Community Transportation
ā€¢ Secure Medical Transportation
ā€¢ Air and Ground Ambulance Transportation
ā€¢ Home Health Agencies
ā€¢ Independent Mental Health Practitioners Services
ā€¢ Nutrition Items
ā€¢ Community Mental Health Centers
ā€¢ Substance Use Disorder Agencies
ā€¢ Personal Care Services
ā€¢ Nursing Facilities
ā€¢ Community Support Providers
ā€¢ Community Service Providers
ā€¢ Child Private Duty Nursing
ā€¢ Anesthesiology excluding outpatient and ASC
ā€¢ Health Home per member per month
