SD Medicaid Providers Still Have Time to Apply for Provider Relief Funds

An August 4 memo from the South Dakota Department of Social Services (DSS) encourages Medicaid providers to submit an application for the COVID-19 provider relief funds. As of July 15 only 27 of South Dakota’s 1,017 Medicaid providers had applied for funds. There is still time for providers to apply for Provider Relief Funds, HHS has extended the deadline to apply from August 3, 2020 to August 28, 2020.
South Dakota Medicaid encourages providers who have not received payments from previous relief distributions or who have questions about the Provider Relief Funds to review the HHS website for information on provider actions needed to receive a payment.
