Resources for Leading Through Crisis

Now more than ever, your leadership is invaluable to your team, organization, patients and community. Your steadiness and calm help those around you keep perspective. Your vision and guidance help lead the way.

To help you lead confidently during times of crisis, AONL has developed a growing compendium of leadership resources to support you in caring for yourself and your team.

Read, listen and engage in brief exercises for practical insights and effective strategies for coping, staying centered, building resilience and leading with integrity amidst challenging circumstances. Continuing education credits available; see individual resources for details.

On September 24, SDAHO will host Carole South-Winter, Associate Professor and Program Coordinator for Health Services Administration in the Beacom School of Business at the University of South Dakota, for an in-depth discussion on mindfulness tools for burnout and moral distress.

Heavy caseloads, limited control over the work environment, long hours and concern over adequate PPE and moral issues have created great demands for our healthcare professionals.  Carole will address how mindfulness can be a positive response to stress and utilized appropriately can significantly impact the risk factors for burnout.  Registration is per facility and all-staff are encouraged to attend (includes multiple lines per facility).
