State Extends Application Deadline for CARES Act Coronavirus Healthcare Provider Grants

The state has extended the deadline for applications for the state’s CARES Act Coronavirus Relief Fund Healthcare Grant Program for Community-Based and Hospital Providers. The new deadline is October 30, 2020.

The state also updated their Frequently Asked Question (FAQ) document to include additional information about calculating gross revenue and expenses for the profit and loss statements and information about including federal grants and loans within the application. We encourage providers to provide additional detail and context as necessary.

We encourage all eligible providers to apply, regardless of if it appears that you will be eligible for funding under the current methodology. We believe Round 1 distributions will be minimal and that a Round 2 distribution is likely. We are hearing from the state that providers must apply in Round 1 in order to qualify for any Round 2 distributions as there will not be time for an additional application process. The application deadline is Friday, October 30, 2020. Providers can apply online on the state Covid website.

The state has made a Provider Help Line available at 605.937.7243 Monday – Friday from 8 AM – 5 PM CT. Please reach out to SDAHO’s Sarah Aker for additional assistance regarding the application as needed, via email sarah.aker@sdaho.org or 605-361-2281.
