Revenue Cycle A-Z for Critical Access Hospitals

The South Dakota Healthcare Financial Management Association (SDHFMA) and the South Dakota Office of Rural Health are hosting Revenue Cycle A-Z, an intensive course on all facets of revenue cycle including coverage, billing, coding and payment. The program focuses on Critical Access Hospitals (CAH); however the comprehensive content also provides expertise that can be applied to all health care settings.
As we know that traveling and dedicating time to multi-day conferences can be a challenge, Revenue Cycle A-Z is structured as a series of five virtual sessions.  Each sessions builds on information from the previous sessions, providing excellent education in a convenient format. Upon registration and as the event approaches, a link will be provided that will allow you to access the virtual event. Attendees may register individually or as a group. CPE is available for individual registrations.
Revenue Cycle A-Z will provide the knowledge and confidence to:
  • Know where to find answers to specific reimbursement questions.
  • Understand outpatient observation and inpatient status rules and UR requirements.
  • Submit accurate claims to Medicare and other payors.
  • Recognize  underpayments and manage payor denials.
  • Ensure appropriate reimbursement application of the patient’s financial responsibility.
  • Avoid compliance pitfalls. Identify risks for recovery audits and other government audits.
  • Understand reporting of revenue codes, HCPCS codes and related charges for all services provided.
