White House Extends Expiring Medical Supply Tariff Exemptions

​The White House Office of the United States Trade Representative has extended through Nov. 14 tariff exemptions for certain medical care products needed to address the COVID-19 pandemic while it considers “further extensions and/or modifications as appropriate.” The American Hospital Association has urged the office to extend the exemptions, which were set to expire Sept. 30, to ensure hospitals and health systems have the supplies they need to safety and effectively care for all patients during the COVID-19 pandemic.
