SDAHO Opens Office in Pierre

The South Dakota Association of Healthcare Organizations is excited to announce it now has an office in Pierre. SDAHO’s mission to advance healthy communities through a unified voice across the healthcare continuum is even stronger with the opening of its office in our state’s capital city.

The SDAHO staff is divided into five areas of responsibility: Advocacy and Member Relations, Acute & Post-Acute Service, Education, Business Development, and Quality Integration. 2021 has seen positive growth for the SDAHO team, with the addition of a Communication Manager and an additional Clinical Improvement Consultant. “Both new positions allow SDAHO to serve our members across the continuum of care with more visibility and additional value ensuring we are supporting their needs and meeting our five areas of responsibility.” – Tammy Hatting, COO, SDAHO.

The SDAHO advocacy team has always had a presence in Pierre, but the new office creates a permanent location where staff and members work and meet throughout the year. “We are excited about the new Pierre office; we spend the entire legislation session in Pierre providing a voice for our members. Having a physical presence there complements those advocacy efforts.” Tim Rave, CEO SDAHO.

In addition to advocacy work during the legislative session, the entire SDAHO team often connects with members, partners, and stakeholders in Pierre on key issues related to healthcare. “We have a presence in Pierre year-round, but this new office now gives our staff a place to work while conducting business there. It also gives our members an additional location to meet with our team members, when needed.” Tim Rave, CEO, SDAHO.

The new SDAHO Pierre office is located in the South Dakota Retailers Building, across the street from the South Dakota State Capitol.
