Registration Open for Post-Acute Partners in Care Conference

Registration is now open for SDAHO’s Post-Acute Partners in Care Conference April 13-14 in Sioux Falls at the Sioux Falls Convention Center.  We are excited to bring together the post-acute community (nursing home, assisted living, senior living, home health and hospice organizations) to network, provide educational opportunities, and celebrate South Dakota’s healthcare providers and the steadfast commitment to provide healthcare to those in your community.

What can you expect at the Post-Acute Partners in Care Conference?

The conference will kick off with humorist and opening keynoteJuli Burney, as she shares her infectious attitude toward life, work and personal challenges to help improve people’s lives through humor and effective use of communication tools.  An award-winning teacher, entertainer and author, Julie makes an amazing connection with her audience.  Juli personifies humor as the key to effective communication strategies and positive environments.  Juli has been featured on HBO and Showtime and has been commissioned by a variety of associations from the National Endowment for the Arts to Fortune 500 companies to develop training programs that stick.

  • Top Ten Risks for Senior Care
  • Assisted Living Roundtable
  • Developing Nurse Leaders
  • Generational Workforce

Sessions will be applicable to administration, nursing, dietary, social work, activities, human resources, finance/reimbursement, risk management, and quality.  Over 10 hours of continuing education hours will be available to long-term care administrators and social workers.  The social and vendor show will take place on Wednesday, April 13.

This years  closing keynote speaker is, Jim ‘the Rookie’ Morris.  Jim’s story was featured in the Disney blockbuster movie, ‘The Rookie’, where this heartwarming story shares Jim’s journey to chase his dreams of playing in major league baseball.  Jim recently authored, Dream Makers, where he shares struggles with pain and addiction, mentorship that kept him grounded, and the transformative power of surrounding yourself by those that encourage.  Jim’s goal is to help inspire others to overcome life’s obstacles and achieve their own personal dreams.
