The American Hospital Association (AHA) has awarded John Ayoub, Chief Executive Officer of Mobridge Regional Hospital and Clinics with the American Hospital Association Grassroots Champions Award.
The American Hospital Association Grassroots Champions Award was created to recognize those hospital leaders who most effectively educate elected officials on how major issues affect the hospital’s vital role in the community, who have done an exemplary job in broadening the base of community support for the hospital and is a tireless advocate for the hospital and its patients. “There are so many champions in our great state, I am extremely humbled to have been recognized among them in this prestigious manner. Tammy Hatting, COO of SDAHO was in attendance at this year’s AHA annual cmeeting and says it was a special moment to see one of SDAHO’s Board of Trustee members receive this award. “It is a true honor to have John Ayoub selected as South Dakota’s Grassroots Champion for the American Hospital Association. The Grassroots Champion award is presented annually to one individual from each state with winners being chosen by the state association. John is one of 50 individuals honored this year. “I am extremely privileged to lead the team at Mobridge Regional Hospital and Clinics. The team is so good, and the work they do so vital and done in such a professional and compassionate way, they really make me look better than I am.
