SDAHO Quality Integration Team Connect for Successful Professional Development

The South Dakota Association of Healthcare Organizations (SDAHO) Quality Integration department provides valuable resources to members by focusing on organizational leadership, patient safety, process improvement, hospital resources and more. This three-member team serves SDAHO members across the entire state of South Dakota, with offices in Sioux Falls, Platte, and Huron. The team recently met in person for a three-day internal personal development training retreat, with the main focus on value.

Loretta Bryan and Michelle Hofer, SDAHO Clinical Improvement Consultants

Becky Heisinger, Director of Quality Integration says the Quality team met to brainstorm strategies to meet the needs of our member hospitals by adding value to the quality professionals, nursing leadership, senior leaders, and other healthcare professionals. “Based on feedback from quality teams one on one interaction, survey results and meetings with healthcare professionals, we have outlined the ‘value add’ services that we will strive to implement in the next year.”

The value-add service will result in streamlining tools and resources to better assist the healthcare professional in ultimately meeting the needs of the patient.
