Hometown Healthcare Heroes: Lindsey Hauger, CEO Pioneer Memorial Hospital and Health Services

To help member facilities with workforce needs, SDAHO has launched the Hometown Healthcare Heroes campaign. The campaign is designed to recognize and celebrate member facilities, the people that work there and the communities they live in, while recognizing and promoting job opportunities within member facilities. This week we hear from Lindsey Hauger, CEO of Pioneer Memorial Hospital and Health Services.

Viborg, South Dakota located in Turner County, is a vibrant community in the southeast corner of the state. Although known for its Danish Heritage and its annual Danish Days Festival, it’s also gained attention for a small community that has it all. No one knows that better than Lindsey Hauger, the CEO of Pioneer Memorial Hospital and Health Services. Lindsey grew up in Viborg and after going away for college, coming back to her hometown to grow her career and raise a family is something she is very proud of. “As we were away, I just got to missing that small town connection. That part where you go for a walk and you only make it three blocks because you stop and talk to everyone along the way.”

  • Long term care 51 bed skilled nursing home
