Congratulations to Katie Biggins, Newest CPHQ

SDAHO congratulates Katie Biggins, RN, on passing the Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) exam. Katie is the Quality Improvement Coordinator at Avera Gregory Hospital. Katie says that having the CPHQ behind her name is a badge of honor and demonstrates her dedication to professional growth and a passion for her field. The CPHQ is the only accredited certification in healthcare quality, and she is very proud to carry this title.  Kaite has been involved in quality for over 13 years at Avera and that experience and education was very instrumental in achieving this goal. She is incredibly grateful to SDAHO for the Flex Grant dollars that allowed her to take the course and sit for the exam at no cost. She also added, “the CPHQ gives Avera Gregory Hospital a specific quality skill set and knowledge that can make a difference in cutting costs and enhancing care without sacrificing either. The tools I’ve gained can now be applied to strategic planning, regulatory compliance, improved patient outcomes, and process improvement projects.” This certification was made possible through the SD FLEX grant from the SD Department of Health. We are proud of Katie for accomplishing this goal.
Congratulations Katie!
