SDAHO congratulates Amanda Karrels, RN, on passing the Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) exam. Amanda is the Clinical Quality Coordinator at the Monument Health Sturgis Hospital in Sturgis, SD. When asked what it means to her for passing this exam, she states “my goal is to raise standards in the health care industry and ensure that patients receive excellent care. With the CPHQ certification, my knowledge of healthcare quality practices and competencies are validated.”
Angie Dahlke, RN MSN and Director of Nursing at Monument Health Sturgis Hospital had this to share about Amanda’s accomplishments, “The CPHQ credentials validate Amanda’s expertise in managing our QAPI program for our organization. It shows that through her leadership, we are committed to high quality care and continuous improvement, that we value evidence-based methodologies and a data-driven program, and that we are by reflection a high quality organization. It is the industry standard and I believe enhances our program and puts us in line with other highly successful establishments.”
