CDC Releases Updated Healthcare Setting Recommendations

The latest recommendations from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) were released on September 23 which changes guidance on screening, testing, source control, quarantine, work restriction, designated COVID units and vaccination status measures.  In response to the CDC updates, the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) released revised memos, QSO-20-39-NH and QSO-20-38-NH. CDC recommends that healthcare settings check community transmission rates on a weekly basis to best determine infection control practices based on current conditions.
