Due to increased membership interest, the registration deadline for the 2023 SDAHO Nurse Leadership Program has been extended to January 6th.
The Nurse Leadership Program started in 2019 with the mission of supporting our nurse leaders throughout South Dakota. Every nurse is a leader, whether the nurse is in a formal role such as Director of Nursing or Nurse Manager or in an informal role such as infection preventionist, trauma coordinator, or direct care/bedside nurse. “Nurses at all levels need strong leadership skills to contribute to patient safety and quality of care” (Institute of Medicine, 2010, p. 223). With the growing complexity of healthcare practice environments and pending nurse retirements, the continued development of nurse leaders is increasingly important.
The Nurse Leadership Program will have content taught by current South Dakota nurse experts and other healthcare industry experts regarding clinical research, leadership theory, developing critical communication skills in a fast-paced healthcare field and more!
The 10 session program includes registration for:
- Post Acute Partners in Care Conference
- Annual Convention
- Crucial Conversations 4 part training series
