Winter Playbook for Nursing Homes and Other Long-term Care Facilities

While COVID19 is no longer the disruptive force it once was, real challenges persist,
particularly for older Americans, who suffer from serious illness or deaths from COVID19 at higher rates than the rest of the population.
A Winter Playbook for Nursing Homes and Other Long-term Care Facilities to Manage COVID-19 and Protect Residents, Staff, and Visitors was released by the White House and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services with three directives:
  1. Help residents and staff access updated COVID-19 vaccines.
  2. Ensure that residents and staff are testing if they are symptomatic, and know how to access COVID-19 treatment options (such as oral antiviral pills) if they test positive.
  3. Improve indoor air quality across facilities

You can access the Playbook here.
