SDAHO Prepares for SD’s 2023 Legislative Session

Tuesday, January 10, 2023, is the start of South Dakota’s 98th Legislative session and the South Dakota Association of Healthcare Organizations is excited to represent our members in the state’s capitol.

Over the past several weeks, SDAHO has toured the state hosting legislative forums with both lawmakers and members in attendance. This allowed the SDAHO advocacy team to connect with policy makers, introduce them to members of the healthcare community and educate them on issues important to the healthcare industry.

The SDAHO Advocacy team provided members a Legislative Preview webinar the week prior to session starting. Tim Rave, CEO of SDAHO updated attendees on healthcare issues currently being focused on while laying out the top healthcare issues expected to take center stage. To view the highlights from the legislative preview webinar, visit our SDAHO YouTube Page or Click here. A recording of the webinar is available to members on the member portal.

SDAHO’s advocacy team will be in Pierre to represent our members during session by staying on top of bills that will affect healthcare in South Dakota and providing members with timely information on  issues. To see what bills SDAHO is tracking, visit the 2023 Bill Tracker for details.
