Pediatric Palliative Care Education Series Now Available

The Pennsylvania’s Pediatric Palliative Care Coalition (PPCC), Greater Illinois Pediatric Palliative Care Coalition (GIPPCC), Children’s Hospice & Palliative Care Coalition of California (CHPCC), and the CSU Shiley Haynes Institute for Palliative Care have collaborated to offer the Pediatric Palliative Care Webinar Series to raise the visibility of pediatric palliative care and to build clinicians’ competencies and confidence in providing care to children.

Sessions:

  • January 19: Parents of Children with Complex Medical Needs:  Toward an Integrated Behavioral Health Approach
  • February 21: Compassion, Connection and Creativity:  Utilizing Music Therapy to Navigate Caregiver Guilt in Pediatric Palliative Care
  • March 16: Uncommon Solution: Managing Pediatric Pain with Methadone
  • April 20: The 5 Ws of Guidance for Pediatric End of Life Care
  • May 16: Caring for a Child in the Community
  • June 20: When Parents Want Aggressive Treatment for Their Dying child:  How do I respond and Where do I Turn?
  • August 15: Whole Person Care: Looking at the Child Behind the Disability
  • September 21: Blending the Art & Science of Child Life to Foster Choice, Connection, and Agency in Pediatric Patients
  • October 17: REALIGN-RESPOND-REPAIR: Responding to Discrimination with your Interdisciplinary Team
  • November 16: What is Structural Competency?  How Inequality Makes Us Sick
