Building the Pipeline

This month SDAHO Enterprises Endorsed Business Partner, Medical Solutions, digs into the importance of educating and engaging future nurses as early as high school in order to help build the healthcare workforce for generations to come. Two programs to build your pipeline are highlighted in this document.

  • College and high school partnerships engage top student talent early on to ensure they are exposed to nursing and enter the workforce earlier.
  • Non-nursing scholarships/pay-to-learn opportunities help recognize top talent and support current care team members who may want to be a nurse, but cannot afford the opportunity.

Both programs aim to recruit from local workforce and ensure career longevity while decreasing the reliance on traveling nurses. Take a few minutes to read over the two programs you can explore and implement, the processes, and the expected outcomes to grow your facility’s pipeline.
