Effective July 1, 2023, South Dakota’s Medicaid expansion will allow an estimated 52,000 new individuals to qualify for Medicaid by raising the income requirement to 138% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL).
To keep providers, stakeholders, and Medicaid recipients informed about the changes to Medicaid eligibility, South Dakota Medicaid will post updates and resources to a new webpage detailing Medicaid Expansion. Please check this webpage often for changes and additional information.
