The South Dakota Health Care Coalition (SDHCC) conducts a statewide exercise every year. SDHCC has requested skilled nursing and assisted living SDAHO members to participate in a statewide emergency preparedness exercise. The exercise scenario will be impactful across the state, and they will be working to evacuate and relocate SNF and ALF residents based on impact and pre-existing conditions. Each facility will be provided workbooks to coordinate their response internally and given the opportunity to interact with SDHCC Command.
We encourage skilled nursing facilities and assisted living SDAHO members to complete this survey to register for this event. There is no charge to participate in this exercise and it will count for CMS requirements. There will be an exercise brief on October 12 at 10 AM CT and the exercise will be held on October 19 at 11 AM CT and will run until approximately 1 PM CT.
