Early-Career Physician Recruiting and Retention Playbook

SDAHO Enterprises Endorsed Business Partner Jackson Physician Search and Medical Group Management Association (MGMA) just released new research on recruiting and retaining early-career physicians in today’s competitive physician market.

Among several key findings, the research confirmed:

  • Physicians who completed residency or fellowship in the past six years spent less than two years on average in their first job before leaving.
  • New physicians rated compensation (50%) as their most important need in a first position, but the driving motivator to leave that first job was practice ownership/governance (35%).
  • Administrators said organizational reputation (51%) was the top factor leading early-career physicians to join their organization, but physicians rated this much lower.

Jackson Physician Search invites you to review the new white paper – Early-Career Physician Recruiting Playbook – which reflects feedback from physicians and administrators across the nation.

If you have any questions or need help recruiting a physician, please contact Brent Barnacle at bbarnacle@jps.com.
