AHA invites organizations to participate in influenza prevention initiative

The American Hospital Association (AHA) invites your organization to participate again in our collaborative influenza prevention initiative, the United Against the Flu campaign. Now more than ever, we need to encourage communities to get vaccinated to stay healthy and protect themselves against the Flu and COVID-19.

For the past ten years, the United Against the Flu campaign has seen tremendous success in delivering messages on the importance of flu vaccination to millions of Americans through our collective social media and digital outreach. This year, we will continue promoting the importance of vaccinations through monthly social media packets. More information is below.

United Against the Flu Campaign Summary

Objective: The AHA will collaborate with national health care, patient advocacy, and other relevant organizations in a campaign to encourage the public to get an influenza vaccination. The campaign will peak during the CDC’s National Influenza Vaccination Week.

Deliverables: 

  • The updated webpage will feature shared infographics and other helpful resources, such as the CDC’s flu shot finder tool and promotional messaging. All partners are welcome to contribute resources. To review and contribute to the landing page, please visit www.aha.org/flu.
  • During the heart of the campaign (late October – mid-February), we will produce monthly social media kits that will feature new shareable posts for Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. The October toolkit is linked here.
