State Strategies to Revitalize the Long-Term Care Workforce
Presented by Sean Slone, Council of State Governments.
Since 2022, the Council of State Governments (CSG), with support from The Commonwealth Fund, has led projects aimed at addressing the long-term care workforce crisis. In this session, Slone will share findings from these efforts, including strategies such as increasing compensation, enhancing training, expanding the workforce pipeline, and supporting family caregivers. Participants will learn about successful state-level initiatives, with policy examples from Hawaii and Pennsylvania, and explore how a collaborative approach across government levels and stakeholders is critical to solving the workforce crisis.
