A Celebration of National Care at Home Month

The South Dakota Association of Healthcare Organizations (SDAHO) is wrapping up National Care at Home Month by celebrating Home Health Week November 23-29, 2025, recognizing the dedicated professionals who deliver skilled, compassionate care directly to patients in the comfort of their own homes.

Home health care offers vital medical and therapeutic services that help individuals recover from illness or surgery, manage chronic conditions, and maintain independence. From skilled nursing and physical therapy to wound care and medication management, home health professionals ensure that patients receive the care they need where they feel most comfortable — at home.

Home health services not only improve health outcomes but also reduce hospitalizations and help individuals remain active and connected to their communities. These caregivers make a profound difference every day by combining clinical expertise with compassion, allowing patients to heal, thrive, and live life on their own terms.

During Home Health Week, SDAHO extends heartfelt gratitude to the home health nurses, therapists, aides, and support staff who go above and beyond to care for South Dakotans across the state.
