Certifying Board for Dietary Managers approve SDAHO as a provider unit

Certified Dietary Managers (CDM) and Certified Food Protection Professionals (CFPP) are experts at managing dietary operations. They are responsible for implementation of menus, foodservice purchasing, and food preparation. In addition, they apply nutrition principles, document nutrition information, manage work teams, and much more.

A CDM and CFPP has achieved defined competencies in five key areas:

  • Nutrition
  • Foodservice
  • Personnel and Communications
  • Sanitation and Safety
  • Business Operations

SDAHO is now an approved provider for Certified Dietary Managers and Certified Food Protection Professionals by the Certifying Board for Dietary Managers.

To maintain the CDM and CFPP credential, individuals must complete and report a minimum of 45 continuing education (CE) hours every three years. Eligible continuing education must be programs related to the nutrition and foodservice industry. This requirement guarantees that you will continue updating your professional skills throughout your career and demonstrates your commitment to continued competence.

During our Post Acute Partners in Care Conference, March 31 – April 1, we will be offering 7 continuing education credits for those who attend the following sessions:

  • Opening Keynote ~ Attracting Tomorrow’s Talent with Today’s Leaders
  • From Surviving to Thriving: Strategies to Eliminate Toxic Workplaces
  • Working in Healthcare: The Natural Impact of the Work on Ourselves, Teams and Institutions
