SDAHO is excited to announce a new partnership with LeadingAge Illinois and Iowa to bring an Advanced Assessment Program designed for long-term care nurses and health care professionals to SDAHO members. This comprehensive, eight-module training equips participants with evidence-based techniques to perform thorough and accurate patient assessments across multiple body systems.
Each module emphasizes best practices, interpretation of normal and abnormal findings, and timely clinical decision-making, helping participants know when to escalate care. Participants will gain practical, applicable skills to:
- Identify anatomical structures and conduct thorough physical examinations
- Differentiate between normal and abnormal assessment findings
- Recognize when abnormal findings require practitioner notification
Developed by experts from the University of Iowa College of Nursing and other industry leaders, this program enhances clinical competency, promotes patient safety, and supports high-quality outcomes in diverse care settings.
The program is fully online and on-demand, allowing participants to complete it at their own pace. Features include:
