SDAHO Welcomes Erin Healy as Director of Business Development for SDAHO Enterprises

The South Dakota Association of Healthcare Organizations (SDAHO) is pleased to welcome Erin Healy as the new Director of Business Development for SDAHO Enterprises. In this role, Healy will play a key part in advancing SDAHO’s mission by strengthening member and partner relationships, identifying strategic growth opportunities, and enhancing the value of Enterprises programs across the state.

As Director of Business Development, Healy will work closely with SDAHO members to understand their evolving needs and priorities. She will focus on researching health care and industry trends, developing partnerships, and identifying innovative solutions that support both organizational success and long-term sustainability. Her work will directly contribute to growing the SDAHO Enterprises program, helping generate revenue that supports expanded education, resources, and cost-saving opportunities for members.

“A key part of my role will be understanding member challenges and finding practical solutions that add value to their work and organizations,” said Healy. “Supporting the success of Enterprises helps keep costs lower and strengthens access to education and resources for all members, which is central to SDAHO’s mission.”

Healy brings nearly seven years of health care experience to SDAHO, most recently serving as a philanthropy officer with Sanford Health. In that role, she built strong relationships with donors and aligned funding with critical health care needs—supporting program growth, enhancing patient services, and contributing to long-term sustainability. Prior to her work in philanthropy, she served as a patient experience advisor, collaborating with clinical and non-clinical teams to improve care quality and patient outcomes. She also began her career at Sanford Health as a senior marketing analyst, where she used data insights to guide strategic and operational decisions.

“What I’ve found most rewarding about working in health care is the opportunity to make a meaningful, tangible impact on people’s lives,” Healy shared. “That experience will benefit SDAHO members because I understand the challenges health care organizations face and how to bring people together around practical solutions.”

Healy also brings a unique statewide perspective shaped by her service in the South Dakota State Legislature, where she developed a deep understanding of how policy, systems, and providers intersect to influence care delivery. This experience, combined with her background in health care operations, philanthropy, and patient experience, positions her well to support SDAHO members of all sizes.

“This role with SDAHO is a natural next step because it allows me to stay close to health care while focusing on practical solutions that directly support members,” she said. “I’m excited about the opportunity to build relationships, understand challenges, and help strengthen the system in a way that benefits providers and the patients they serve.”

Originally from Sioux Falls, where she currently resides, Healy remains actively involved in her community. She sits on the Falls Community Health Governing Board, and is a member of First United Methodist Church. She holds degrees from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln and the University of South Dakota.

Outside of work, Healy enjoys spending time with her husband, Brandon, and their three children—Harrison, Pearl, and Arlo. She also enjoys reading, staying active in her children’s activities, and looks forward to getting back into golfing.
