Available on the SDAHO Rural Health Transformation Project webpage
The South Dakota Association of Healthcare Organizations (SDAHO) has released a new Helpful Tips to Navigate the Rural Strong Grants: Strengthening Access to Care in Rural Communities tip sheet, now available on the Rural Health Transformation Project webpage.
This resource highlights key steps to support applicants, including focusing on Exhibits A (Use of Funds and Limitations) and B (Quick Answers)—recently updated by the state—to better understand allowable costs and RFP requirements. It also encourages reviewing Exhibits C and D, starting with the budget to guide application development, and aligning all budget items with the proposal narrative.
Additional tips include following the required proposal format, addressing evaluation criteria outlined in the RFP, and considering the use of AI tools (as permitted by your organization) to assist with drafting.
This tip sheet is designed to help SDAHO members navigate the process more effectively; however, the official RFP remains the final authority. This material is provided for informational purposes only. In the event of any discrepancy, the official Request for Proposal (RFP) document shall serve as the source of truth.
