The Summer 2026 Trustee Quarterly Newsletter – is now available, offering timely insights and resources to support strong board leadership across South Dakota’s health care organizations.
This quarter’s issue focuses on the board’s role in advocacy, including how trustees can use their trusted voices, community connections and firsthand knowledge to help tell their organization’s story and build meaningful relationships with policymakers and other key stakeholders.
SDAHO’s “Our Perspective: Advocacy Starts with a Strong Foundation” builds on that discussion, highlighting how advocacy begins with education, relationships and credible information. It also explores how SDAHO’s Board of Trustees, councils and members contribute their expertise and experiences to help strengthen the unified voice of health care across South Dakota.
The issue also features “Disaster Planning Starts with the Board,” examining the board’s responsibility in ensuring organizations are prepared for emergencies and highlighting lessons learned from real-world disasters.
Members are encouraged to explore the full newsletter to stay informed, strengthen governance practices, and take advantage of the resources available to support their organizations and communities.
