LifeCircle, South Dakota’s Hospice and Palliative Care Network is encouraging specialty palliative care programs across South Dakota to participate in the Center to Advance Palliative Care’s (CAPC) Palliative Care Program Inventory.
The Inventory is collecting data from programs nationwide to build the field’s understanding of where and how specialty palliative care programs operate in both hospital and community settings, and where gaps in access remain.
Participation from programs across South Dakota will strengthen our understanding of palliative care in our state while ensuring South Dakota is represented in the national picture. The data will also support research and advocacy efforts and advance understanding of how palliative care is delivered across care settings.
CAPC will also use the Inventory data to create national reports that help programs see how their structures compare to similarly situated programs, for example, FTEs per patient volumes and payment trends. You can then use that information to better advocate for the resources you need.
Participation is free and open to all U.S. specialty palliative care programs.
Make sure your program is counted, visit capc.org/program-inventory.
